Costa Adeje runs along Tenerife's south-west coast, from the marina at Puerto Colón up to the old fishing village of La Caleta. It's the calmer, smarter neighbour of Playa de las Américas – a place for long lunches by the sea, gentle walks along the promenade and lazy afternoons by the pool.
A traffic-free promenade links its beaches, lined with cafés, restaurants and shops, and the south is the sunniest, driest side of the island. It's popular with couples and families alike – and with many of our guests, who come back year after year.
It's warm all year round here: winter days usually reach the low 20s and summer days the high 20s, with very little rain. Choose a month to see what to expect – and how it compares with back home.

From south to north, here's how Costa Adeje fits together. The seafront promenade links them all, so you can walk from one to the next.
A marina lined with bars and restaurants, and the place to catch a boat trip – including whale and dolphin watching.
Just up the hill from the marina: a quieter area with local shops, supermarkets and the Aqualand water park.
A lively, family-friendly beach with sun loungers and water sports, right on the promenade.
Costa Adeje's best-known beach: around 600 metres of pale sand, with a promenade full of shops and restaurants.
Golden sand, clear turquoise water and a smarter, more relaxed feel. Beautiful at sunset.
A former fishing village at the northern end, with seafood restaurants right by the water and a lovely coastal path.
Stroll the seafront from Puerto Colón towards La Caleta, stopping for a coffee, lunch or an ice cream along the way.
Pilot whales and dolphins live off this coast all year round, and boat trips leave from Puerto Colón.
Siam Park and Aqualand are both in Costa Adeje – a big hit with families, and with plenty of grown-ups too.
Spain's highest mountain is about an hour and a quarter's drive away. Take the cable car up for views across the islands.
The ferry from nearby Los Cristianos takes about 50 minutes – perfect for a day of green valleys and quiet villages.
Golf Costa Adeje is just up the hill, with sea views across to La Gomera.
Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is about 20 minutes away by car or taxi. Flights from most UK airports take around 4 to 4½ hours.
Most things are within walking distance. Taxis are easy to find, and local TITSA buses link Costa Adeje with Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas and the airport.
The same as the UK all year round, so there's no jet lag and no changing your watch.
The currency is the euro. Cards are widely accepted, but it's handy to have some cash for small cafés and tips.
European two-pin plugs, so pack a UK-to-EU adaptor.
Spanish, but English is widely spoken in Costa Adeje's restaurants and shops.
